Kim is a wife, a mum of four, step-mom to four, and grandma of four! She grew up in a loving, but non-Christian, family. I began to attend Willingdon Church at 18, primarily for social reasons. Little by little the teaching sank in and she decided that she wanted a relationship with God. Life hasn’t always been what she expected or dreamed. There have been many challenges but knows God has sustained her through all of it. For past 18 years she has worked for a residential renovation company, primarily responsible for all the bookkeeping and a myriad of other duties. Unofficially I am the den mother/counsellor for the staff! She and her husband became members of Bethany in April 2015.
Karen started attending Bethany in 1999. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour and got baptized at Bethany by Pastor Lyle the same year. She has had many serving opportunities as a Sunday School teacher and as a Greeter for our Front Line Ministry. Karen has found that each position has given her insights and teachings on how important it is to be the body of Christ. She was the leader of the Finance Team for our first refugee family. She has served with the Chinese Ministry Team for almost 7 years, and as an usher in the past few years.
